Dr. Chidera Amilo grew up in White Plains, NY, and pursued her academic journey at the University of Connecticut, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. Driven by her passion for both art and science, she made the decision to become a dentist during her junior year of college. Dr. Amilo then continued her education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. While in dental school, she was honored with the Health Careers Mentorship Award for her dedication to mentorship and volunteering.
Following dental school, Dr. Amilo completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where she gained experience in advanced clinical procedures and the management of medically compromised patients.
Dr. Amilo is passionate about patient empowerment and education, always striving to ensure her patients feel comfortable, fully informed, and confident in understanding their dental health. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and prides herself on providing gentle, compassionate care. Dedicated to professional growth, she regularly engages in continuing education and stays up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry through the Academy of General Dentistry.
Now based in North Carolina with her husband Obi, Dr. Amilo is excited about exploring her new home. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and traveling.
