Originally from Taipei-Taiwan, Dr. Chen and her family moved to North Carolina when she was fifteen. After completion of her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 with double majors, Dr. Chen spent one year doing research related to Type II Diabetes at Duke University’s metabolism center. She then continued her education at UNC School of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011.
After completing her 3rd root canal treatment in dental school, Dr. Chen decided to pursue her future career as a root canal specialist. She continued her Endodontic residency at UNC and obtained her master’s degree in 2014. She is currently an active member of AAE and Tarheel Endodontics.
Dr. Chen has two passions in her life: root canals and fitness. She calls herself a gym rat when she is not at work. Besides being an Endodontist, Dr. Chen is also a certified Les Mill instructor for weight lifting. In the near future, she is planning to go through certifications for kickboxing and cycling.
