Dr. Talha Karimi has been a resident of Harrisburg, North Carolina since 1996. He completed his undergraduate studies at NC State and later attended the ECU School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2023. Dr. Karimi explored various fields during his undergraduate years, including medicine, accounting, pharmacy, and engineering. However, it was when he shadowed a dentist that he discovered his passion for dentistry. The unique blend of art and science in the field captivated him from the start, setting him on his path to becoming a dental professional.
Dr. Karimi holds a BS in Finance with a concentration in Business Administration, obtained in 2019. Following this, he pursued his dental education at ECU, earning his DMD. To further hone his skills, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Karimi is particularly passionate about all oral surgery procedures as well as prosthodontics, both removable and fixed. Dr. Karimi is sedation certified, adding an extra layer of care and comfort for his patients during dental procedures.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Karimi is an avid enthusiast of Freestyle Wrestling and calisthenics. He has been involved in wrestling for several years and enjoys competing. Additionally, he has a keen interest in languages and is fluent/proficient in five languages. Dr. Karimi also dedicates time to training and coaching young wrestlers, sharing his expertise with elementary to high school students. Another of his hobbies is collecting coins from different eras, particularly those made of gold and silver.
Dr. Karimi values his close-knit family, with his parents, younger brother, and older brother all residing nearby in Harrisburg. He finds joy in meeting new people and building relationships that benefit both him and his patients, fostering a community-oriented approach to his dental practice.
